Rosemary is good for your health, whether used fresh, dried or as an oil. It has strong antioxidants, which can kill germs, bring down swelling, and can also fight infections and even block cancer.

Vitamins A and C are found in rosemary. Minerals like zinc, copper, phosphorous, iron, magnesium; folate, thiamine and riboflavin are also found in the plant.

The nice smell of the plant is essential in the beauty products and used in aromatherapy. Many people also use it as cooking herb. Dried or fresh rosemary can be added to sand witches, infused oils and tea.

Boosts Memory

It is a stimulant, which helps, in boosting memory and mental focus. You can breathe in the smell of rosemary oil by adding some drops to your handkerchief. It guards against neurodegenerative conditions like Alzheimer’s disease.

Fighting Stress and Anxiety

The smell helps in calming the muscles hence clearing your mind and easing stress.

Alleviates Headaches

Rosemary brings down swelling and dulls pain in the end soothing headaches. By rubbing your forehead with a few drops of rosemary oil mixed with carrier oil, this makes the pain to calm down. Also putting a few drops in hot water and breath in the storm helps so much.

Hair Growth Stimulant

By boosting blood circulation in the scalp, which in turn allows more nutrients to reach the hair follicles.

Alopecia Areata can be treated using rosemary. By adding rosemary to 3 cups of hot water and let it sit for 15 minutes and use it for rinsing the hair for a few times.

Reducing Inflammation

The plant helps in gouts pain, back pain, stiff neck and arthritis pain. It helps in easing pain and swelling, also easing menstrual pains and stops spasm.

Warming two tablespoons of olive oil and mixing it with rosemary oil can use the mixture used to rub the hurt area for five minutes and repeating two to three times a day. This will help you feel better.

Strengthen the Immune System

It gives a shield against different diseases and germs.  It has phytochemicals, which have antioxidants and block cancer. By drinking one or two cups of rosemary tea a day, this makes you healthy and free from common cold and coughs.

Treats Respiratory Problems

Because rosemary kills bacteria and stops spasm, it can be used to treat cold and flu, sinus infection and bronchial asthma.

Two tablespoons of olive mixed with few drops of rosemary, then take the mixture and rub your chest a few times a day. Then breathe in the smell to sooth respiratory issues, thus healing breathing issues.

Controls Blood Sugar

Rosemary can lower glucose and cholesterol levels. Type two diabetes and other metabolic conditions can be controlled.


Do not use rosemary during pregnancy.

It is prohibited for use to mothers with bleeding disorder, epilepsy and hypertension. It is good to test whether you are allergic to rosemary by testing using a small part of your body and examining the skin reaction.
